How Real Food Transformed My Life:
From Overwhelmed & Exhausted to Empowered & Energized
Back in the late 90’s, I was a lawyer minding my own business and dragging myself to work every day with two small kids at home.
And then one day, my world was shattered when my daughter, Alexa was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis, a life-threatening disease that mainly affects the lungs.
As an already overwhelmed mom with a stressful full-time job, I wondered how I was going to tend to her special needs and keep my head above water.
But then, I started researching how I could help Alexa live longer than the scary statistics said she would. I was desperate for solutions. And guess what I found?
A quote that said, “Let food be thy medicine, and medicine be thy food.”
Sounded simple, but in my crazy life? How could I even start to figure out how to change what we were eating?
Well, long story very short, desperation will make you find a way!
→ After a few months devoted to a new way of living and eating, I noticed I was not having the 3 PM slump every day, or passing out in front of the TV at 8:30 every night.
→ My husband and I had more energy, my weight shifted for the better, and the kids were not getting sick as often as before.
→ Best of all, Alexa stayed healthy and out of the hospital and is now thriving as an adult.
Fast forward to today- I feel great with energy to spare, an efficient immune system, and healthy habits that give me peace of mind about my future health, and a joy that’s hard to explain.
I tell you all this to say that if I could do this in my very busy life, anyone can do it. You can do it. So, let’s partner to create your healthy life - all you need is desire, a plan, a few simple strategies, and naturally, some real food! Let’s get started!
